Aurora Borealis over Europe
April 5, 2012 from 00:44:21 to 00:50:07 GMT
Our camera pans north towards the Aurora Borealis, capturing the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Auroral displays appear in many colours, although pale green and pink are the most common. The lights are seen above the magnetic poles of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
The journey continues over the North Sea where the countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland can be seen, a rare event for the ISS.
