This journey takes us from just southwest of Cote d’Ivoire in Africa to southern Russia. Directly below, thunderstorms pour over western Africa.
Lights appear along the Nile, snaking up to the Mediterranean and the coastlines of Israel and Lebanon.
On the right we pass Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and Tehran, the capital of Iran.
Further on, the Baku Peninsula juts brightly into the Caspian Sea.
Our journey ends over southern Russia, looking northeast towards the Aurora Borealis.
